- Baptized in Honolulu, Hawaii (1982).
- Learned to play the cello (1991-2001).
- Played in the rock band known as FERVoR (1998-2000).
- Graduated from Thornton High School with an International Baccalaureate diploma (2000).
- Did a mission trip in Juarez, Mexico with Casas Por Cristo (2002).
- Participated in the Messenger Program @ First Presbyterian Church in Boulder and spent 11 weeks in Trinidad, Bolivia serving La Palmera (2003).
- Attended and graduated the University of Colorado in Boulder with a double major in Environmental Population Organismic Biology and Studio Arts with an emphasis in photography and painting (2004).
- Did a mission trip to Trapichitos, Guatemala with Agros International (2005).
- Start working at The Academy Charter School as the receptionist and webmaster (2006).
- Visited my friend Sarah in Egypt (2007).
- Family vacation to Seattle (1 & 2) (2008).
- Traveled with students from The Academy to Washington, D.C. for the inauguration of Barack Obama (Wildcats in D.C.) (2009).
- Central American vacation (Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica) with Melissa and Lisa (Mellisajoy Travel Journal) (2009).
- Family vacation to Florida included Disney World and Universal Studios (1 & 2) (2010).
- To become a full-time teacher at The Academy, I worked on getting my teaching licensure and started graduate degree through TILA (2010-2011).
- Back to Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica)--this time with my sister, Amanda and friend, Joanie (1 & 2) (2011).
- On to Europe with students from The Academy through France and Spain during spring break (1 & 2) (2012).
- Costa Rica is simply irresistible, so I went back for some R & R with the family.
